Starting a restaurant is a dream that I’ve had for a long time. I used my dedication, and passion to turn that dream into a reality. For me, the journey to opening my own restaurant began many years ago, when I first started working in the food industry.
I have always been fascinated by the way that different flavors and ingredients can come together to create something truly special. Costa Rica has access to amazing fresh seafood and high quality beef to make exquisite steaks. As the years passed, I began to develop a real passion for food, and I started to dream of one day opening my own restaurant where I could share my love of food with others.
There were many factors that contributed to my decision to start a restaurant. One of the biggest was the desire to create a fine dining space where people could come together and enjoy a meal in a warm and welcoming environment. As a child, the dinner table was always a comforting and valuable place to eat and feel cared for. I wanted to create a place where I could share my love of food with others like they were family.
Another important factor was the desire to be my own boss and to have the freedom to create and run a business that was truly my own. I have always been a very driven and ambitious person, and starting a restaurant seemed like the perfect way to channel those qualities into something that was meaningful and rewarding.
Of course, starting a restaurant is no easy task. There are countless challenges and obstacles to overcome. But despite all of these challenges, I am confident that it will be worth it in the end.
I am excited to share my love of food with others, and determined to create a restaurant that is truly special and unique. I want my restaurant to become a place where people can come together, relax, and enjoy a delicious meal, wine, laughter and so much more.

At Hazel's we strive to create a dining atmosphere that is a relaxed and memorable experience for all our guests. We have found that our ambiance and menu are best suited to an adult clientele and as such, we do not allow any children under the age of 10.
Part of creating the atmosphere at Hazel's is we have a casual elegant dress code that we ask our guests to follow. We believe that this dress code is important to maintain a pleasant and respectful environment for all of our guests. Please no flip flops, sleeveless shirts or beach wear.
While we will try to accommodate your reservation request, unfortunately, we are limited in our capacity and may not be able to accommodate your group, exact time, or additions to a reservation.
It's important to mention that due to high demand and limited seating, we have to maintain an efficient seating schedule. If, unfortunately, you're unable to make it within a 15-minute grace period, we might have to release your table to waiting guests.
